We first met Carol when she was organising her last Darley Abbey Day and then again more recently when she came to the monthly Saturday Socials at the Scouts Hall. We really enjoyed hearing her stories of village life in times gone by and reading her articles in the St Matthew's Parish Magazine. RIP Carol.

Carol was a friend to all. and had a heart of gold. I met Carol through my husband Keith Midgley who grew up on Weirfield Road Darley Abbey. Your work is completed here on earth but our memories of you Carol is our keepsake and will never part. Loving remembered by Keith , Dot and family. Rest in peace dear freind
